In Sharing our Story, Trish and Gary Wilson, longtime parishioners and friends of our parish and community, Glen Osmond, SA, share some of their journey

As they recount, they lost their son, Zac, having battled schizophrenia for ten years. During that time, I would occasionally catch up with Zac, and take him for a coffee. One day, we were sitting up in the hills behind Adelaide, sipping away, as Zac recounted some of his struggles. And, at that moment, a beautiful butterfly flew by, and landed on his outstretched hand. It was a moment of grace in a time of hardship.

Our song this month is Andre Rieu giving an outstanding performance of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.”

The video this month is “Six Words that Changed My Life“. Dave Guttman examines his life when he is told six words.

The reading is a review of How to Survive a Shipwreck. I happened upon this book at a tough time in my life, and found it very helpful.

And finally, to continue our shipwreck theme, our person of note. We share the story of Hartley Wallace, the band leader on the Titanic. Interestingly, there is a memorial to the band in Broken Hill Park, New South Wales, Australia
